9/4/13 Boulder Creek Learning (by 4/5 authors)
After a long, hot hike to the South Boulder Creek, we finally cooled off in the shade by the creek. By the time we had to leave, we had learned lots of things. Some of the small facts we learned were, caddis flies cover themselves in spit and rocks to make their environment, dragonflies spend 3-4 years under water, a minnow’s habitat is usually by the shore, and adult mayflies have no mouth. Some of the big facts were, different types of bugs like clean water, dirty water or both, and crawdads can live in clean or dirty water. We learned facts and other things we will never forget.
